HCG

HCG, or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, is a naturally occurring glycoprotein hormone composed of alpha and beta subunits and is primarily associated with reproductive endocrine signaling. Laboratory-produced HCG has become widely studied in research involving gonadotropin receptor activity, reproductive biology, steroidogenic signaling, and communication within the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.

HCG research has explored its interaction with the luteinizing hormone/chorionic gonadotropin receptor (LHCGR). Researchers have investigated receptor-mediated signaling associated with gonadal cellular activity and downstream biochemical pathways involved in reproductive endocrine function.

Another significant area of HCG research involves steroidogenesis and gonadal signaling. Laboratory studies have examined its relationship with cellular mechanisms involved in sex-hormone synthesis, reproductive tissue biology, and communication between endocrine signaling systems.

HCG is a glycoprotein with a molecular mass of approximately 36.7 kDa and is commonly supplied as a lyophilized research material for controlled laboratory investigation involving LHCGR activity, reproductive endocrinology, and related signaling pathways.
