MOTS-C – 20mg
MOTS-C is a mitochondrial-derived research peptide composed of 16 amino acids and encoded within the mitochondrial 12S ribosomal RNA (MT-RNR1) gene. As a peptide originating from mitochondrial DNA, MOTS-C has become an area of laboratory research involving cellular metabolism, mitochondrial signaling, energy regulation, and cellular responses to metabolic stress.
MOTS-C research has explored its relationship with metabolic signaling pathways involved in glucose utilization, energy balance, and cellular adaptation. Researchers have investigated its interactions with AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), an important cellular energy sensor involved in regulating metabolic activity when cellular energy availability changes.
Another significant area of MOTS-C research involves mitochondrial-to-nuclear communication. Laboratory studies have examined how MOTS-C may participate in signaling between mitochondria and the nucleus, including cellular responses to metabolic and physiological stress. Research has also investigated its relationship with pathways associated with mitochondrial function, cellular homeostasis, and age-related metabolic changes.
MOTS-C has a molecular weight of approximately 2,174.6 g/mol and can be synthetically produced for controlled research applications. This 20mg formulation is supplied in a nasal research format for laboratory investigation involving mitochondrial biology, metabolic signaling, cellular energy regulation, and related biochemical pathways.
