NAD+

NAD+, or Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, is a naturally occurring coenzyme present in cells throughout biological systems and plays a central role in cellular metabolism and energy-related biochemical reactions. Unlike peptide-based research compounds, NAD+ is a nucleotide-derived coenzyme widely studied in laboratory research involving mitochondrial function, oxidative metabolism, cellular energy production, and intracellular signaling.

NAD+ research has explored its essential role in oxidation-reduction reactions involved in converting nutrients into usable cellular energy. Researchers have investigated its relationship with mitochondrial activity, ATP production, metabolic regulation, and biochemical mechanisms involved in maintaining cellular energy balance.

Another significant area of NAD+ research involves its function as a substrate for NAD+-dependent enzymes, including sirtuins and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs). Laboratory studies have examined these pathways in relation to DNA repair, gene regulation, cellular stress response, and biological processes associated with cellular maintenance and aging.

NAD+ has a molecular weight of approximately 663.43 g/mol and is highly water soluble. It is supplied for controlled laboratory investigation involving cellular metabolism, mitochondrial biology, NAD+-dependent enzymes, and related biochemical pathways.x
