SOMATROPIN
Somatropin is a recombinant form of human growth hormone consisting of 191 amino acids and structurally corresponding to naturally occurring growth hormone produced by the anterior pituitary. It has become extensively studied in laboratory research involving growth hormone receptor signaling, cellular metabolism, protein synthesis, tissue biology, and the growth hormone/insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) axis.
Somatropin research has explored its interaction with growth hormone receptors located throughout numerous tissues. Researchers have investigated receptor-mediated signaling pathways associated with cellular growth, protein metabolism, and the regulation of downstream IGF-1 activity.
Another significant area of Somatropin research involves metabolic signaling. Laboratory studies have examined growth hormone pathways in relation to lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, cellular energy utilization, tissue signaling, and communication between endocrine and metabolic systems.
Somatropin has a molecular weight of approximately 22.1 kDa and is produced using recombinant biotechnology. It is supplied in controlled research formats for laboratory investigation involving growth hormone receptor biology, IGF-1-related signaling, cellular metabolism, and associated endocrine pathways.
