LL-37
LL-37 is a naturally occurring antimicrobial peptide composed of 37 amino acids and represents the active form of the human cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide (hCAP18). Synthetic LL-37 has become widely studied in laboratory research involving innate immune signaling, microbial interactions, inflammatory pathways, cellular migration, and epithelial biology.
LL-37 research has explored its interactions with microbial membranes and its role within innate immune defense mechanisms.
